Prince Harry has come under fire from royal biographer Angela Levin after the Duke announced plans to pen a tell-all memoir. Harry has said the new book, due out next year, will explore life “not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.” The news has not been welcomed by Ms Levin who attacked the Duke for wanting to “destroy the monarchy” following Harry’s decision to forge a new life in America with his wife Meghan Markle.

Ms Levin told TalkRADIO: “I think there will be a big division.

“I don’t think he cares about Britain anymore.

“I think he wants to destroy the monarchy, I think he is trying to be a sort of…show his genetic pain has gone all the way through him and he is riddled with hate

“I think if he goes on like this he can think of him in some ways as a traitor, he is a traitor to his family by saying things that he shouldn’t.”

“He wants his own privacy but he doesn’t care about anybody else he can say what he thinks about them,” added the royal expert.

“I think it is absolutely atrocious, okay he did Oprah, okay he did mental health, okay he allowed this finding freedom hagiography to take place.

“But there comes a time when…I don’t understand why he doesn’t want to move on.

“He loves his wife, he loves being in America, he has got two children one of each, terrific, lots of money pouring in because as they say he is box office and yet he is hanging on to this Royal Family.”

Prince Harry: Jeremy Vine caller says the Duke is a 'traitor'

It comes as Prince Harry was slammed by Tory MP Richard Holden for “throwing goodwill away” since he quit royal duties with Meghan Markle last year.

Richard Holden MP told LBC: “I think we have heard quite enough from Prince Harry and Meghan recently.

“I think [the Queen] she has been a hero and actually the rest of the Royal Family have been very dignified in the way they have dealt with a very difficult situation with him deciding to leave and go to America.”

Asked what he thought the couple’s motivation was for speaking out, the MP said: “They have just done a massive deal with Netflix, haven’t they? I fear there is a financial motivation there.”

“I think actually the truth was Prince Harry and Prince William did quite a lot of good work, ” he added.

“Particularly around the Invictus Games and around mental health.

“But I think unfortunately he has thrown so much of that brilliant goodwill, which he had built up with so much of the British public, away.

“By the way, he has behaved in recent years.”
