Robert Zemeckis in talks to direct live-action ‘Pinocchio’

“Back to the Future” and “Forrest Gump” director Robert Zemeckis is in “early talks,” according to Deadline, to direct a live-action version of Disney’s “Pinocchio.”

The director’s track record has been shaky since his ’80s and ’90s smashes: He’s recently been behind the dud, “Welcome to Marwen,” as well as the tepid Brad Pitt-Marion Cotillard thriller “Allied.”

Disney’s been making its biggest animated hits into live-action movies, with Jon Favreau directing “The Lion King” and Guy Ritchie making a career comeback with “Aladdin.”

A British teen has died after falling from a seventh-floor bathroom at an apartment block in southern Spain.

The 15-year-old is understood to have been on a school exchange to the city of Cordoba.

Local authorities say they are treating the incident as a tragic accident and say police are not investigating it as a crime at this stage.

He had been in the city for less than a week and was participating in a language exchange.
