Top artists launch Wave of Hope to draw support for beating world crises

It has been signed by rock star Annie Lennox, comedian Sir Lenny Henry, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and renowned illustrators Quentin Blake, Lauren Child, Diane Ewen, Jim Field, and Nick Sharratt.
The artists have created drawings featuring some of their best characters including Clarice Bean, Oi Frog, and Tracy Beaker for people to collect free from Waterstones, and place in their window as a signal to the most powerful countries to put us on the path to a better, fairer world.
Group spokesman Kirsty McNeill, of Save the Children UK, said: “Families all over Britain are going to be putting the Wave of
Hope in their windows as a sign to the G7 leaders that they must crack the four big issues: Covid, injustice, climate change, and the nature crisis.
“The fantastic Daily Express Green Britain campaign demonstrates that when people put their minds to it, they can accomplish great things.”
The Wave of Hope campaign has been launched by Crack the Crises, a coalition of more than 75 charities and organisations.
