The Royal Family feud between the Sussexes and Cambridges looks set to come to an end, according to a US Weekly source. Royal commentator Mandie Decamp explained that the Duchess of Cambridge sent Meghan Markle a gift to celebrate the birth of her daughter Lilibet Diana – a potential olive branch after over a year of tensions between their husbands.

Ms Decamp said: “A source has exclusively revealed to US Weekly that Prince Harry and William’s relationship is on the mend after they reunited for the unveiling of the statue they commissioned for their mother.

“The source told us William and Harry spent the morning before the statue unveiling looking through old keepsakes notes from Diana and bonding.

“They have absolutely turned a new page in their relationship and have started the healing.

“Everyone around them was thrilled to see how close they were on the day of the statue unveiling.

“The insider added that tensions have eased also between Meghan and Kate she even sent Meghan a gift for the baby.

“They’re in a better place and have exchanged text messages since the birth of Lillibet.”

Earlier this month a royal commentator claimed the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William had “no option” but to step up and boost their online presence with the threat of being overshadowed by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry looming.

Royal commentators Katie Nicholl and Emma Jones discussed the competition between the Cambridges and Sussexes during ITV’s documentary ‘Harry and William What went wrong?’.

Ms Jones stated that Kate and Prince William have learnt lessons from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry regarding their online presence.

She said regarding the Cambridge’s social media presence: “All of this stuff is quite heavily staged managed and not looks like a John Lewis advert.

“But they are having a go.

“Ironically they have sort of taken the lessons from Meghan and Harry and are trying to do it themselves.”

Ms Nicholl said: “They were called upon by the Queen to step up to the plate, to become high-profile to become frontline royals during a global pandemic.

“They were seen to be doing enormously important work and proved to be very popular.

“William and Kate had no option but to turn things around and really inject some rocket fuel into this.

“If they did not then there was the real risk that they really would be overshadowed by Harry and Meghan across the pond.”
