Royal wedding snub: How Meghan Markle was EXCLUDED from Beatrice’s inner circle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are predicted to have a low-key role in the ceremony. Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are unlikely to be a part of Princess Beatrice’s immediate wedding party despite attending the nuptials in May.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to return to the UK for Bea’s wedding to fiance Edoardo Mapelli on May 29.

Harry and Meghan have been spending time in a $14 million mansion in Vancouver Island, where they’ve been looking after their son Archie.

The pair have been in Canada since agreeing their stepping down as royals with the Queen last month.

They will be back on UK soil before the royal wedding when they attend the Commonwealth Day celebrations at Westminster Abbey on March 9.

Bea and Edo are tying the knot at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace.

A reception at Buckingham Palace will take place after the ceremony.

The wedding will be well-attended by members of the Royal Family.

It’s been confirmed that Prince Andrew will walk his daughter down the aisle.

According to Danielle Stacey, HELLO! Online’s Royal Correspondent, both Kate and Meghan will play minor roles at the wedding.

She said: “It’s likely that we’ll see the Sussexes return for the royal wedding, as Harry is very close with his cousin Princess Beatrice.

“The couple attended her sister Princess Eugenie’s wedding in October 2018, so I’m sure they wouldn’t miss it for the world.

“Beatrice and Eugenie were also guests on Harry and Meghan’s big day two years ago.

  • Princess Beatrice to have HUGE wedding honour Eugenie didn’t get

“Meghan won’t be in the immediate wedding party and like sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, she’ll have a low-key role, just like the pair did at Eugenie’s nuptials in Windsor.

“It’ll give the Royal Family the opportunity to have a catch-up, especially given the intimate setting.

“The Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace seats only 150 guests and in line with Beatrice and Edoardo’s wishes, it’ll be a much more private affair.

“While it would be lovely to see baby Archie have a starring role in the bridal party, he’ll have only just turned one by that point, so he’s still a little too young for pageboy duties.

“But he’ll have plenty of playmates on the day, in the form of his royal cousins, George, Charlotte and Louis.”

One of those playmates will be Edo’s son Christopher ‘Wolfie’ Woolf Mapelli Mozzi.

Wolfie is the daughter or Edo’s previous fiancee, the American architect Dara Huang.

Edo’s son is in line to be a pageboy at the wedding in May, as is Prince Louis.

And Princess Charlotte, Mia Tindall and Savannah Phillips could all be named bridesmaids.

The Chapel Royal holds regular services that are open to the general public, and it has in the past hosted some unique royal services.

Queen Victoria married Prince Albert there on February 10, 1840.

The wedding of King George V, then a prince, to Princess Mary of Teck also took place there in 1893.

It’s located in the main block of St James’s Palace, was built in 1540 and altered since, most notably by Sir Robert Smirke in 1837.
