Express.co.uk readers can vote in our poll on whether the Duchess of Sussex should attend the statue unveiling at Kensington Palace on July 1. And let us know more about what you think in the comments section.

Our poll comes amid speculation over whether former actress Meghan will make an appearance alongside Harry at the unveiling of the statue in honour of his late mother in two weeks.

A source told US website Radar Online that the Duchess would join Harry after he attended Prince Philip’s funeral alone when she was pregnant with their daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana.

The insider claimed Harry was “given the cold shoulder” by family members and relations have only “got worse” since then.

The source said: “Meghan knows how hard it was to attend his grandfather’s funeral alone and doesn’t want that to happen again.

“Harry was given the cold shoulder by most of his relatives, with several refusing to talk to him or even make eye contact.

“Since the funeral things have got worse, not better, so you can only imagine how he will be treated at the big event on July 1.”

But the Telegraph’s acting royal correspondent Victoria Ward quoted sources claiming Meghan would not travel to Britain with Harry after recently giving birth.

She tweeted: “The Duchess of Sussex will not fly to the UK to join Harry for the unveiling of a statue of his late mother, sources confirm after a US website claimed she would join him.

“She’s just had a baby, they point out.”

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe said Meghan has a “perfect reason” to stay in California with baby Lili.

The royal expert told OK! magazine: “No one I’ve spoken to believes Meghan will attend.

“She’s just had a baby and that’s a perfect reason to want to stay where she is.

“No one could criticise her for that, although I’m sure people will.”

Harry returned to the UK for the first time since Megxit for the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April.

Meghan, who was heavily pregnant at the time, was advised against flying by her doctor.

The Duchess gave birth to Lili on June 4 so the statue unveiling would be less than a month later.

The Sussexes quit royal duties last year and are now living in Montecito.

They plunged the Royal Family into crisis in March with their controversial Oprah Winfrey interview.

Harry has since hit out at the royals in a podcast interview and during his Apple TV documentary series, The Me You Can’t See.
