Much of the Royal Family has been comparatively quiet during the lockdown. Isolation and much of the country on hold has meant there’s not a lot for them to do in terms of royal engagements.
They’re diaries are usually packed full of events, speeches, dinners and the occasional diplomatic meeting.
Looking back to 2018, the daughters of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie made a joint speech at WE Day festival.
A movement Beatrice has previously worked with, WE Day attempts to “change the world by giving young people and adults tools of empowerment”.
During their ten-minute-long talk, the sisters covered a range of topics spanning their upbringing, mental health and what inspires them.
Towards the end of their appearance, in nod to the spiritualist and Buddhist, the Dalai Lama, Eugenie offered the crowd of kids some enlightened advice.
It came after Beatrice explained that, the following day, “we’re going to celebrate all those inspiring women and girls who are supporting each other through life.
“We would love you to do the same.”
Eugenie then proceeded to use the Dalai Lama as a point of inspiration.

She said: “There will be too many moments on this stage today where you will hear stories of bullying.
“I don’t believe that there are many things in life that can make you feel more vulnerable, more helpless, more alone, than being bullied.
“It comes in many, many forms.
“We’ve all suffered our fair share along the way.
“Growing up in the public eye means every embarrassing, slightly awkward growth spurt, or hilarious fashion moment, is published around the world.
“Together we have laughed, together we have cried.
“Ultimately though, together we fuelled each other’s sense of humour.
“When stones are being thrown, we reassure each other that people don’t often understand how hurtful they can be.
“This especially in the world we live in today.”
