Princess Charlotte is the spitting image of Queen’s relative in forgotten photo

Prince William and Princess Kate’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are bound to steal the show again this year when the Royal Family steps out for the Christmas Day church service at Sandringham. Last year it was Princess Charlotte who got eagle-eyed fans talking, but not about her stunning attire, but rather the uncanny resemblance between her and the late Queen’s niece.

Lady Sarah Chatto, 59, the only niece of Queen Elizabeth II, is Princess Margaret and her husband Antony Armstrong-Jones’s second child and royal fans were shocked at the uncanny resemblence to young Charlotte.

Although she lives a private life as a painter, last Christmas a social media user, @RoyalFamilyGB, posted a rare picture of Sarah from 1970 alongside a photo of Princess Charlotte, who was seven-years-old at the time, from the service.

The similarities are striking; both have button noses and near-identical eye and mouth shapes.

One royal fans wrote on the X platform: “Oh wow! Such a close resemblance! I would have thought that was Charlotte! They are identical.”

Another user @SusanRutherfo13 called the two royals “twins, fifty years apart.”

Meanwhile @EvelynMJean said: “Now that really is extraordinary. Two absolutely beautiful children. So sweet.”

Princess Charlotte’s looks have also been likened to a young Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana and her father Prince William.

In a visit to Bradford in 2020, William had to double-take after seeing a photograph of himself from 1992.

Turning to Princess Kate, he said: “Is that me? Doesn’t it look like Charlotte? That’s incredible, I haven’t seen that before. Very alike in similarity.”
