Police hunt for man after alleged rape of teenage girl
Police have released an image of a man they want to trace in connection with an alleged rape of a teenage girl in south west London.
Officers were called to North Place in Merton at about 7am on Tuesday morning, where a crime scene remains in place.
Parents in the area have been warned by schools to be vigilant.
A teenage girl and her family are being supported by specialist officers, police said in a statement.
No-one has been arrested and local officers are patrolling the area.
Detective Inspector Laura Semple said: “We have released an image of a man we would like to speak to and urge anyone who can help us trace him to contact police immediately.”
