New photos of Princess Kate prove ‘fast track to Queendom was her destiny’

Eurovision: Kate Middleton plays piano in show teaser

Kate, the Princess of Wales, is on the “fast track to Queendom”, a royal commentator has said, after she dazzled at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. The Princess, 41, delighted royal fans with her appearance at the contest last weekend as she looked regal while playing the piano from the Crimson Drawing Room of Windsor Castle. The cameo, while brief and wordless, has prompted a fresh wave of admiration for the future monarch. Commentators have outlined how the appearance has shown she is “on the fast track to Queendom”.

Writing in a column for news.com.au, royal commentator Daniela Elser said the princess leaned “Sheryl Sandberg-esque” intoprincess-ing with gusto”.

Ms Elser commented on the organisation of her appearance, appearing bowled over by her hair, which cascaded down her left shoulder in curls, and sheer one-shoulder gown.

She added that the “whole thing” seemedlike a Hollywood set designer had been given the brief ‘princess’ and carte blanche in terms of budget”.

The commentator said that, overall, she “not only looked the business”, but also “like it was always her destiny to end up on the fast track to Queendom”.

A royal commentator said the “most obvious” reason for not having an investiture for the Prince of Wales is money.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are being “denied” a Royal Family tradition in their new roles. Unlike his father King Charles, Prince William will not receive his own Wales investiture as the tradition has been “unceremoniously done away with”, a royal commentator has claimed. Prince William to snub King as he’s tipped for complete break from royal tradition

Prince William has been tipped not to follow in King Charles’s footsteps with his own Coronation.

While the UK is still reeling from the excitement of His Majesty’s official investiture early this month, speculation has already been rife about William’s plans for his own reign.

Royal editor Russell Myers suggested the Prince of Wales will take a break from royal tradition to show he is a “modern man” ready to lead the slimmed-down monarchy his father is now seeking to establish.

The King has signalled only the most senior members of the Royal Family will now work on behalf of the Crown with a special Coronation photo many have seen as indicating which relatives will continue working with him.

Myers said: “These reports about William planning his own Coronation – we’ve barely caught up on the sleep we were missing from the last one.”

Tim Hanbury hit with hidden Brexit rule at Stansted stopping him from boarding a flight

Tim Hanbury, the father of Rose Hanbury Marchioness of Cholmondeley – a friend and neighbour of Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales – was prevented from boarding a Ryanair flight at Stansted due to a lesser-known passport rule regarding entering the European Union.

British travellers cannot enter the bloc on a British passport which is more than 10 years old, meaning that those wishing to travel to the EU should also check the date of issue on their passport as well as the expiry date.

Even though the 70-year-old’s passport did not expire for another nine months, he was still unable to visit a friend’s house in Europe for a few days holiday.

One of his friends told the Daily Mail: “Tim was very upset and frustrated. He was fuming about Ryanair because he could not have the weekend away that he was looking forward to.”

A Ryanair spokesman said: “As this passenger’s passport was issued in May 2013, it does not meet the first entry requirement under EU legislation.”

A senior palace aide who incurred the wrath of Prince Harry has stepped down as joint principal private secretary to the King.

Sir Edward Young was blamed by Harry for the late Queen’s refusal to allow him and Meghan to work as part-time royals.

He has been given a peerage, becoming Lord Young, and has left the Royal Household after 19 years service.

Sir Edward, 56, who had previously worked as an adviser to William Hague when he was Conservative leader, joined the Royal Household as assistant private secretary to the Queen in September 2004 and served as her closest aide from 2017 until her death.

Princess Kate’s little-known family from humble north-east beginnings

Since Kate, Princess of Wales, married Prince William in April 2011, her close-knit family have become a well-known fixture at major royal events.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are known to share close relationships with Kate’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton, as well as her siblings, James and Pippa.

Having relocated to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor last year, Kate and William now live just a stone’s throw away from the Middletons, with each member of the family still residing in Berkshire where the Princess grew up.

Although the Middletons lead lives outside of the Royal Family, some have arguably become celebrities in their own right.

Carole is a businesswoman, having built a multi-million-pound party supply business, and is a strong pillar of support for both her royal daughter and son-in-law. She is the matriarch of the Middleton family and, significantly, the hands-on grandmother to the future King.

But perhaps less known is Carole’s humble roots, starting in the coal mining village of Hetton-le-Hole.
