Harry and Meghan speak on mental health

Meghan Markle had a subtle way of letting her husband Prince Harry take the lead in New York City, a body language expert has claimed.

They added that the Duchess of Sussex’s choice also had a special meaning for the royal.

Body language expert Darren Stanton stated that Meghan has been wearing white outfits recently when she wants to take a “step back” so she can give the spotlight to Prince Harry.

He added that the royal has been doing this on a few appearances during the Invictus Games in Germany in September.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, he told OK!: “She was there alongside her husband, but very much wanting him to take control as she knows how much the games mean to him.

“She wanted to come across as supportive and calm – being there for him.

“When Meghan wears white it’s to take away the attention on her. She’s making a lowkey statement here, where she wants to say, ‘This isn’t about me.’”

But the expert also suggested that by choosing to wear white, the Duchess may have wanted to emphasise a “new chapter” in her life.

He explained: “White is the colour of purity. It’s to show a new chapter and go into something with a fresh mind.

“It’s to say, ‘I know what I’m doing, I know myself, and everything is clear to me.’ It denotes that Meghan is in a good place and wants to start over.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited New York last Tuesday to speak in a panel about mental wellness in a digital age at the Project Healthy Minds event.

During her speech, Meghan revealed she is “frightened” over her children, Prince Archie, 4 and Princess Lilibet, 2, using social media in the future.

She said: said: “As parents, though our kids are really young, they’re two and a half and four and a half… but social media is not going away.

“I think by design, there was an entry point that was supposed to be positive in creating community and something has devolved, and there’s no way to hear that and not try to help these families have their stories be heard.”
