Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s pal George Clooney jokes how THIS could be next baby name

Actor George Clooney who is good friends with Meghan and Harry has been speaking out about how he feels about sharing a birthday with Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The star gave his approval to the tot’s name and kick-started a guessing game among royal fans about what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will name their second child – if they have one. During an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Hollywood A-lister gave the thumbs up to his friends’ choice of moniker, saying: “Archie! It’s a good name.”

George, 58, who is married to human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, 41, speculated whether the royal couple could name their next baby Jughead – who along with Archie are characters in Riverdale, a TV show adapted from Archie Comics.

George joked: “It’s better than Jughead too!”

Ellen replied: “If they have a sibling, you’ve ruined it!”

George, who is dad to 23-month-old twins Ella and Alexander, went on to mimic Meghan and Harry saying: “Archie, Jughead, get in here!”

George and Amal were among the hundreds of high-profile guests at the Sussexes’ wedding in Windsor last May.

In February Amal was one of the guests who attend Meghan’s lavish baby shower at The Mark Hotel in New York.

Californian-native Meghan, 37, was criticised for holding a star-studded “over the top” bash which reportedly cost £330,000.

The former Suits actress was reported to have flown to the US on a £95,000 private jet.

Harry, 34, and Meghan introduced baby Archie to the world on Wednesday, two days after he was born at 5.26am on Monday, weighing 7lbs 3oz.

Kensington Palace has refused to confirm where the Duchess gave birth but it is believed to have been The Portland Hospital in central London.

Childbirth packages at the American-owned luxury hospital joined start from £15,000.

It is not known why the delivery plans have been shrouded in secrecy but one reason could be that Meghan had been planning a home birth but instead, being a week past her due date, was rushed to hospital when she went into labour.
