The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a busy 2021 planned after signing a £112 million deal with Netflix. They will make a series of documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming. But now they may have the opportunity to work on another project with Britain’s Got Talent and X factor judge Simon Cowell.
A source told The Sun: “Simon is a huge fan of Prince Harry and Meghan and has known the Prince for many years.
“Harry used to pop along to The X Factor back in the day.
“They have mutual friends in common and now Harry and Meghan are moving into the entertainment industry themselves.
“Simon has been happy to offer his support on a casual basis.”
Meghan has also got involved in Mr Cowell’s franchise after she made a surprise appearance on the America’s Got Talent final last month.
She showed support for a contestant called Archie by wishing him luck in a video filmed from her home.
Harry also recently revealed he had spoken to Diversity star Ashley Banjo, who won the talent contest in 2009, to offer support following the dance group’s Black Lives Matter-inspired routine on the show.
Britain’s Got Talent was inundated with thousands of complaints following the appearance.
Harry told the Evening Standard: “We spoke to Ashley Banjo a few weeks ago, straight after the Britain’s Got Talent situation.
“And that in itself, I am sure even me talking about it will be controversial, but the reality of it is he and his team of guys put on the most amazing display.
“We had such a good chat with Ashley. He was really strong, he felt great about it, but at the same time he was concerned because of the reaction.
“It was a real surprise that there was what? 1,100 complaints after the show and then three days of hype it became 20 or 25,000.

“I am very glad Ofcom made the decision that they did but that in itself kind of proves how much this conversation needs to continue.”
Simon did not attend last night’s Britain’s Got Talent final after breaking his back two months ago.
It is believed he will be out of action for the next six months due to surgery complications.
Meghan and Harry also appeared on the Teenage Therapy podcast last night.
Meghan revealed that she was the “most trolled person in the entire world – male or female” last year.
She said: “For eight months of that, I wasn’t even visible, I was on maternity leave with the baby – but what was able to be manufactured and churned out, it’s almost unsurvivable, it’s so big you can’t even think what that feels like.”
Harry also warned it is “very easy to be sucked in and consumed by negativity”.
He said: “Hate following has become a thing, you don’t need to do that.
“Just as much as we worry about, be concerned, and take notice of what we put in our bellies as a diet, the same applies for our eyes and our mind, what we’re consuming is affecting us.
