Royal editor Robert Jobson claims Meghan Markle is the “common denominator” in her family troubles as he remembered her issues with her father and subsequent departure from the Royal Family. Mr Jobson said the Duchess of Sussex’s family was always “at war” and recalled she was once welcomed in the “bosom” of the Royal Family when she first joined. However, the royal expert claimed that has now departed following her departure from the Royal Family.
Speaking on Royally US, presenter Christina Garibaldi asked Mr Jobson whether or not Prince Harry or Meghan would have regrets about leaving the Royal Family.
He claimed: “I have absolutely no doubt having covered the Royal Family for over 30 years and known Prince Harry since he was a little boy, I’ve spoken to him on numerous occasions, he will have regrets.
“Everyone has regrets even if they say no regrets, you know, he’s had to give up a lot, his links to the British military, his links to his family where he was always seen as a bit of a joker.
“But also a very much loved member of that family…

“[Meghan’s] own family seemed to be all at war and when she came to be engaged with Harry she was at Sandringham and was invited to the bosom of the family at Christmas something normally doesn’t happen until you’re married.
“And he said on public radio that they’re now the family that she never had, which of course upset Mr Markle who spent a fortune on her education on her and was deeply hurt by that.
“Of course, within a very short space of time his relationship with his own family is in tatters.
“Now you’ve got to say the common denominator here is Meghan.”

Thomas Markle, Meghan’s father, appeared on GB News from his home in Rosarito, Mexico, where he was interviewed by host Dan Wootton.
During the interview, he revealed that he had sent Meghan a bouquet of roses for her birthday, but had been ignored by the couple.
Mr Markle previously led a close relationship with his daughter and in an old blog post from her website, The Tig, she was seen praising her father’s devotion and commitment towards her.
However, their relationship soured in the lead-up to her royal wedding in May 2018, after it emerged that Thomas Markle had liaised with the paparazzi for a series of staged photographs.
Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle also appeared on GB News and was asked to give Meghan a birthday message.
She said: “Tell your attorneys and your PR people I said to step to the curb.
“First of all, you’re not 12 or 19 and even if you were, Dad’s given you everything your whole life and has been amazing to you. You have no right to treat him like this or the Royal Family or anyone, you are 40.
“How long will it take for you to wake up and be decent and be that humanitarian that your PR makes you out to be.
“This is not a game, these are real people with lives and hearts and feelings and how dare you exploit that and ignore it and treat people like they’re dish rags.”
After Meghan stated that they had not seen each other in 19 years, Samantha disputed the claim and released images of the pair in 2008. She also revealed that they had communicated over the phone in 2014.
Their relationship soured after Samantha published the ‘tell-all’ book ‘Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister’, which spoke about Meghan’s childhood and upbringing.
During her interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, Meghan said she had been raised as “an only child” and said: “I think it would be very hard to tell all when you don’t know me.”
