Man abuses disabled woman in lift for asking him to get out
A manhunt has been launched after a 72-year-old woman with cerebral palsy was abused in a lift.
The victim was aggressively confronted after she asked the man if she could use the lift alone over fears she would catch Covid.
He then made derogatory comments about her disability.
CCTV images show the man staring intently at the woman inside the elevator.
He later kicks the lift at the Victoria Centre arcade in Nottingham, seemingly after the doors had shut.
Inspector Paul Gummer said: ‘This was an appalling incident that caused great upset and distress to the victim.
‘Despite extensive inquiries, all efforts to trace the person responsible have been met with a negative result and so we now asking for the public’s help to identify him.’
