Light aircraft bursts into flames after crash in Sussex
A light aircraft has crashed and burst into flames near an East Sussex woodland.
Firefighters and police are on the scene after the aircraft came down in Herrings Lane in Heathfield at 11.01am on Tuesday.
It is not known if anyone is injured yet.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: ‘Emergency services are responding to a light plane that has crashed at Herring Lane, north of Heathfield.
‘The aircraft was reported to have come down on open ground at 11.01am on Tuesday August 4.
‘There are no further details at present.’
The South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed ‘a number of resources’ has been sent to the scene.
