King Charles III has set himself the timely curfew as he wants to make sure he is well-rested for the historic ceremony. A royal source had claimed there will be “no partying”, with all royal duties expected to end by 6pm. The King and Camilla, Queen Consort will be crowned on May 6 at Westminster Abbey.

The royal expert told the Telegraph: “There have been some logistical challenges caused by the King.

“He doesn’t want to do anything in the evening [of May 5] in case it tires him out.

“There will be no partying.”

Although no confirmation has been made over the King’s suspected plans, the source described them as “quite sensible”.

The King is expected to host a reception for the Commonwealth leaders on May 5.

Despite this, no evening plans have been put into place.

The King is famously known for being a “renowned workaholic”.

Prince Harry previously joked that his father does “need to slow down”, with William adding that “the man never stops”.
