The reception is taking place at the Eden Project near St Austell, Cornwall and is being attended by G7 leaders. Kate earlier today met with US First Lady Jill Biden and the pair appeared to get along famously as the FLOTUS later shared on Twitter the pair “could have talked for hours”.

Kate has often been seen as the Royal Family’s ‘secret weapon’ and tonight will be no exception as the Firm uses their soft diplomatic power in a charm offensive for Boris Johnson and Britain.

Tonight Kate’s father-in-law Prince Charles is expected to give a speech.

The Prince of Wales will say tonight: “The fight against this terrible pandemic provides a crystal-clear example of the scale, and sheer speed, at which the global community can tackle crises when we combine political will with business ingenuity and public mobilisation.”

Kate and Dr Biden met for the first time at Connor Downs Academy in Hayle in the county of Cornwall where world leaders have gathered for their summit.

The pair shared their shared passion for education and discussed the early years development of children.

Dr Biden has a doctorate in education from the University of Delaware and while Mr Biden was serving as vice-president under Barack Obama managed to juggle full time teaching at Northern Virginia Community College.
