Kate and Prince William, both 38, got married in 2011 after dating for eight years. The royal couple met while studying at the University of St Andrews together. Now royal fans will get new insight into their royal wedding with a documentary ten years on as royal commentators Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie discussed what can be expected.

Speaking on the Royally Obsessed podcast, Ms Fiorito said: “It’s called When Will and Kate got married and it will celebrate the momentous day.

“It airs next spring to coincide with the couple’s tenth wedding anniversary.

“Can you believe it’s been ten years?

“The tone of the film will be warm and nostalgic letting people who were directly involved in the event in some way tell their personal stories.”

The podcast hosts also expressed how upset they are to not see a back-to-school picture of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

They noted that they are holding out for an updated picture this autumn.

Ms Bowie said: “The Cambridge kids are back at school which is also why Kate and William are able to do get back to work.

“William mentioned that the kids are back.

“He said I think every parent is breathing a sigh of relief that schools have started again.

“He also added the five months have been wonderful but a long five months.

“As a reminder, George is starting Year 3 and Charlotte is in Year 1 but it is sad we didn’t get any pictures this year.”

Ms Fiorito added: “I’m really upset we did not get pictures.

“I’m still holding out that we’re going to get a late autumn one.”

Ms Bowie noted: “I think it has so much to do with COVID regulations and they can’t do drop-off at the front door although the Cambridges do have an exception to that.

“But they have to drop them off at the gate so there isn’t that traditional welcome.”

It comes as the Duchess of Cambridge has praised mothers offering support to other parents during the pandemic, saying their efforts were so important for “emotional well-being”.

Kate’s comments were made when she spoke to mothers and their “lockdown babies” in a London park during a warm autumn day.
