Brexiteer Kate Hoey hints at crucial role to help Boris to deliver Brexit – ‘It depends’
Kate Hoey hinted that she could accept a job offer from incoming Prime Minister Boris Johnson if she was asked. The Labour Party Brexit supporter, who has already announced she will not be standing for the party at the next election, was quizzed on talkRADIO. Katie Perrior, Theresa May’s former advisor, asked the Brexiteer: “Is there a job for you at Number 10 Kate?
“Boris loves you and the Labour Party don’t so much.”
Ms Hoey replied: “I’m still a Labour MP.
“I find more and more the Labour Party is moving away from me”
Ms Perrior interrupted and asked again: “If Boris Johnson offered you a job would you take it?”

The Labour Brexiteer replied “it depends what it is”, much to the delight of the hosts.
TalkRADIO host Mike Graham quipped: “It’s not a no”.
But, the Labour MP quickly responded by insisting she did not think she would be offered a job by the new Prime Minister Mr Johnson.
Mr Johnson has already had resignations from members of Theresa May’s Cabinet who had claimed they would not work under him or would prefer to resign rather than be pushed out.
Mr Johnson is set to select a new-look cabinet which some commentators have speculated he will ensure will be more pro-Brexit and open to a no deal exit from the EU.
Earlier this month, Ms Hoey announced that she will not run as MP for her Vauxhall constituency at the next general election.
The MP said she would continue to aid her constituents from her current position but would not run in 2022.
Tweeting after her announcement, she said: “Whoever is fortunate enough to be the next MP for Vauxhall I wish them well”.
Earlier in the interview with TalkRADIO, the Labour Brexiteer explained that she felt Jeremy Corbyn was not able to truly express his feelings regarding Brexit because of the stance of the party.

She said: “I think Jeremy Corbyn has been let down very badly by some members of his own shadow cabinet.
“He has not been allowed to stay true to the Brexit issue, showing how he really feels.
“He has stayed in as long as possible trying to keep Labour sensible, supporting the referendum and the Leave vote.
“John McDonnell has been one of the biggest traitors, even though I don’t like to use that word.”
