Boy, 13, desperate for a toy prize gets himself stuck in a claw machine
A 13-year-old boy got himself in a pickle after crawling inside an enormous claw machine.
He clambered inside the arcade game at Carowinds park in North Carolina in an apparent attempt to steal one of the prizes.
The machine is nearly 7ft tall and 5ft wide, giving him plenty of time to think about his mistake while rescuers attempted to free him.
A medical team was also on hand to give him first aid, before he was handed over to his guardian.
No charges were filed against the youngster, but he was banned from visiting the park for a year.
It comes after a young boy in Bangladesh climbed into a shipping container during a game of hide and seek, but was instead taken to Malaysia.
The container left Bangladesh on January 11 and arrived in Malaysia’s Port Klang six days later, leaving the boy, called Fahim, trapped inside with no access to food or water.
The starving youngster was eventually discovered after port staff heard him banging on the walls for help.
Although authorities initially suspected he was a victim of human trafficking, there was no evidence a crime had taken place.
