Mr Johnson, 57, has jetted off for a week-long holiday at a “luxury villa” near Marbella, arriving last Thursday. The stunning grounds of Torre de Tramores, where Mr Johnson is reportedly staying, were also known to be a holiday destination of Princess Diana.
As well as Lady Diana, Jemima Khan and Hugh Grant have also been known to use the home for their trips to Malaga.
The grounds are a 600-hectare luxury estate located on a hillside in the Malaga town of Benahavís. Parts of the grounds can be rented out for £25,000-a-week.
Despite confirmation the Prime Minister would be heading to the town of Benahavis on holiday, mayor of Benahavís José Antonio Mena says “there is no official record of his presence”.
Mr Mena told SER: “We have no official record of his presence in the municipality.
“There’s no official reception planned.
“If he really is in Benahavís, he came to rest and enjoy his holidays.”
Although the mayor is not denying the Prime Minister may be on holiday in Malaga, there has been no official record to suggest that Mr Johnson is in the area.
There has been some unusual movements inside the grounds in which Mr Johnson is expected to be staying in.
Civil Guard cars have been seen entering and leaving the grounds on a number occasions, as well as vans with foreign number plates on them.
In addition to standing outside, the press have also made their way to nearby restaurants known to be a common eating area for those attending the Torre de Tramores.

The press were still unable to confirm that the Prime Minister is visiting the town.
Mr Johnson is expected to return to the UK this coming Thursday, after spending a week in the picturesque location.
As of now, it is unclear whether the 57-year-old is alone or is being accompanied by his wife, Carrie, and their one-year-old son, Wilfred.
The trip away to Malaga has come as a surprise to many as, in August, Downing Street confirmed that Boris Johnson would not be having a break this year.
Speaking about the Prime Minister’s trip away, a Downing Street spokesman said: “He’s away from the office, but he’s still working.”
