Archie Harrison has a “voracious appetite” for the books mum Meghan Markle and dad Prince Harry have been reading to him, a proud Duchess of Sussex revealed. Meghan shed light into her son’s favourite hobby as she discussed the inspiration behind her first book, The Bench, which was released earlier this month. Speaking to NPR, the Duchess said: “Kids, they just pick up on everything and that was one of the pieces that I think was important for me even on the homecoming scene with the military dad.

“I knew Archie, I knew our son would notice all of those elements. And he loves it.

“Archie loves the book which is great because he has a voracious appetite for books and constantly when we read him a book, he goes ‘again, again, again.’

“But now the fact he loves The Bench, I can say, ‘mommy wrote this for you,’ feels amazing.”

The Duchess admitted she had been greatly inspired by the relationship her husband Prince Harry shares with Archie but hoped the book would help many more feeling represented.

She continued: “It’s a love story.

“It’s really just about growing with someone and having this deep connection and this trust so that, be it good times or bad, you know that you had this person.

“I really hope that people can see this as a love story that transcends the story of my family.”
