Viewers all say the same thing as 'superstar' choirboy sings passionately during Queen's funeral | The Sun

VIEWERS have praised a 'superstar' choirboy for his passionate singing during the Queen's funeral.

The auburn-haired young boy sang hymns and psalms as well as the National Anthem along with the Choir of Westminster Abbey.


Her Majesty's coffin was carried into the Abbey as the choir performed lines, known as The Sentences, from Revelation 14:13.

And the choirboy caught the attention of the viewers as he sang his heart out during the Psalm 42: 1-7.

His voice was praised as members of the royal family sobbed.

The choir are renowned worldwide and chose to sing The Lord's My Shepherd and I'll Not Want – which was performed at The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh's wedding in 1947.

One social media user said he was "really putting his heart and soul into his performance" before rating him ten out of ten.

Another described the "red-headed choirboy" as a "superstar", while someone else added: "I really appreciate the little red headed choir boy at the Queen’s funeral who is giving us some A+ singing face."

The lead-lined coffin made its way through the capital with a hand-written note from King Charles and a specially selected bouquet of flowers on top.

The note reads: "In loving and devoted memory. Charles R".

Thousands of mourners flocked to London today to catch a glimpse of The Queen's coffin during her final journey – they filled all public spaces two hours before the funeral started.

They streamed out of nearby Green Park tube station road close to Buckingham Palace and crammed into the long walk to Windsor Castle and The Mall.

The Queen is currently in a hearse heading to Windsor Castle.
