Sickly Vladimir Putin brutally snubbed by Turkish leader in possible payback dig

An unwell-looking Vladimir Putin was made to wait ahead of an agonising meeting with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Made to wait for a painful 48 seconds, the sickly 69-year-old looked visibly pained by the delay.

Shortly after entering the room he was meeting in with a slow walk, the warmonger appeared to lose his footing slightly.

Fighting to keep composure, the tyrant can be seen shifting his weight from foot to foot to retain stability, his face twitching in front of waiting photographers, lenses aimed at the Russian president.

Discussions about the health of dictator have been ongoing for some time and this latest wobble is the just latest in a line of signs that Putin might be ill.

Once known for his masculine strength and bold statements of macho bravado, these days he looks a shadow of the man he once was with some even speculating he may be suffering from Parkinson's disease or have terminal cancer.

Despite this, it is might be his ego hurting the most after Turkey’s leader left him wobbling for the best part of a minute with some arguing that Erdoğan’s actions were payback for a previous snub Putin made towards him.

In 2020 the two met in Russia’s capital, Moscow, but Erdoğan was made to wait for so long that he ended up having to sit down.

Erdoğan has been heading up efforts to convince Russia to release thousands of tonnes of grain that are stuck in Ukraine’s ports due to the ongoing war in the country.

Putin isn’t the flavour of the month in Ukraine right now, and people there are understood to have taken great pleasure in Erdoğan’s apparent snub.

Ukrainian government official Anton Gerashchenko posted on Telegram: "Erdogan made Putin wait during the meeting in Tehran.

"The whole spectrum of emotions of the humiliated and insulted Führer is on his face. The bunker is indeed the best place to stay with such a face."

General SVR, an anti-Putin Telegram has claimed that the despot needed to rest often during the pair’s meeting in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

It said Erdoğan’s lateness "publicly humiliated Putin by forcing him to wait".

"If the purpose of Putin’s visit to Iran was to show how he walks unsteadily, or rather hobbles, unnaturally pressing his hand to his body, how dark spots appear on his face despite the abundant layer of makeup, how he needed to ‘rest’ four times during the visit with the presence of a medical worker and in general to demonstrate how sick and weak he is, then the visit in this regard was a 100% success.”

Under the alias of Viktor Mikhailovich, the Telegram channel is said to be run by an exiled Kremlin lieutenant-general insider.

Writing on Twitter, Joyce Karam, senior correspondent at Middle Eastern media organisation National News, said: “Those 50 seconds that Erdoğan made Putin wait, looking frazzled in front of cameras say plenty of how much has changed after Ukraine."
