Ruben Loftus-Cheek infuriates his neighbours with drill music

Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek infuriates his neighbours by blasting X-rated drill rap from the back garden of his £1.8million Surrey home

  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek angered neighbours by playing ‘offensive’ music loudly
  • Midfielder plays it from ‘big speakers’ on six foot high decking in the garden
  • Mother has submitted retrospective planning application for the structure
  • One neighbour said decking is ‘increasingly intrusive’ as star hosts parties on it

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has infuriated his neighbours by blasting ‘offensive’ drill music from the back garden of his £1.8million Surrey home.

One neighbour claims she regularly has to ‘scream over the fence to get the volume turned down’ in leafy Cobham.

She has also complained to Elmbridge Borough Council about the footballer’s application to keep six foot high decking in his garden, which a resident told Surrey Live was ‘unlawfully erected’.

Loftus-Cheek (left, playing for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on May 15 and, right, at Wimbledon this year) has infuriated his neighbours by playing ‘offensive’ drill music at his Surrey mansion

The star has angered neighbours who live in this road in Cobham, Surrey, with his decking as well as the music he plays

Her letter to the authority fumed that the structure is ‘increasingly intrusive’ as the star hosts parties on it.

Another source told The Sun: ‘On a sunny day they play deafening drill and rap music from big speakers on the decking – and the lyrics are quite offensive.’

Loftus-Cheek’s mother, Juliette, has lodged papers with the council concerning the decking, which was built three years ago.

Planners are set to decide whether the England ace will have to scrap the structure later this month.

The star’s house (pictured) was struck by lighting in November 2017. This was his third brush with a bolt

A complaint to the council reads: ‘We oppose the unlawfully erected decking in our neighbour’s garden as it has been built to a height that gives a view/vantage point into our garden and directly into the rear windows of our property when on the top level. We have certainly lost the privacy of our garden.’

Loftus-Cheek faced another property battle two years ago as he rowed with residents over an extension on his five-bedroom home close to Chelsea’s training ground.

A neighbour had complained that his planned two-storey garage extension would allow direct views into their garden and devalue the property.

Lightning struck the property in November 2017, when the then-Crystal Palace player revealed it was the third time he’d almost been hit.
