Pentagon’s bombshell report on UFO threat ‘to be released this week’

As increasing numbers of credible UFO reports emerge, the US Defence Department is preparing to release a report detailing decades of unexplained phenomena witnessed by military personnel.

Former US president Barack Obama recently dropped a major hint about the current US government attitude to Unexplained Aerial Phenomena [UAPs] in an interview with James Corden on CBS’s The Late Late Show: “What is true, and I’m actually being serious here,” he said, “is that there is footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t exactly know what they are.”

He added: “We can’t explain how they move, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern, and so I think that people still take seriously, trying to investigate and figure out what that is.”

There is increasing concern within the Pentagon that the small, fast-moving craft that have been spotted buzzing US warships and military installation are a new class of weapon that has been developed by either Russia or China.

Former Navy pilot Lieutenant Ryan Graves told 60 Minutes that pilot had been seeing these objects in the sky “every day for at least a couple years”

While many of these encounters have been widely reported, John Ratcliffe, the former director of US national intelligence, told Fox News that the upcoming dossier would include unseen reports of incidents from “all over the world,” adding that “there are a lot more sightings than have been made public.”

Ratcliffe said that “when we talk about sightings, we are talking about objects that have been seen by Navy or Air Force pilots, or have been picked up by satellite imagery, that frankly engage in actions that are difficult to explain, movements that are hard to replicate, that we don’t have the technology for.”

He said that some of the objects had been tracked accelerating to speeds well beyond the sound barrier but – baffling military observers – they were doing that without creating a sonic boom.

While his predecessor has been quite open about UAP reports, current President Joe Biden has remained tight-lipped about them, declining to respond to a question about Obama’s statement in a recent press conference.

While UFO hunters around the world have welcomed the news of the report’s imminent release, they might yet be disappointed.

The Washington Post reports that while former president Donald Trump’s order to publish the report said intelligence officials should submit their report within 180 days of December 27, several government agencies have missed similar congressional reporting deadlines in the past.

Also, while the order was added as a commentary to the official bill, it's not in the bill itself. “In other words, it isn’t statute, but the agencies [and] departments generally treat report language as bill language,” a one senior Senate aide explained.
