Man wanted over sex assault of schoolboy on London bus as cops release pic of ‘suspect’

COPS have launched a manhunt after a teenage boy was groped on a London bus in broad daylight.

Officers from the Met Police have today released an image of a man they urgently need to speak to following the assault in Ealing.

The victim was targeted as he boarded a route 282 bus near the White Harte Roundabout in Northolt just after 4pm on August 12.

He had been waiting at a bus stop when a man started speaking to him before following him to the upper deck.

On the journey towards Ealing Hospital, the man made creepy comments about sex and touched the teenager.

Detective Inspector John Millward from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said the lad was left "shaken" but unhurt.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.

“This was a frightening experience for the young victim," DI Millward said.

"Fortunately, he did not sustain any physical injuries, but he was understandably left very shaken.

“We have conducted a number of enquiries to identify the man in the photo we are releasing today and that work is ongoing.

"We think the public may be able to provide information that could be crucial.

“If anyone recognises him, I would urge them to come forward either directly to the police or to the independent charity Crimestoppers.”

Anyone who can assist officers by identifying the man in the photo should call police on 101, providing the reference 5822/13AUG.

Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
