Kim Kardashian's ex nanny says star 'tried all she could' to save marriage to Kanye West- but reveals she'd 'had enough'
Kim Kardashian did "all she could" to save her marriage to Kanye West, but the reality star "had enough" after six years of trying, the Kardashians’ former nanny exclusively told The Sun.
Pam Behan, 52, who spent five years literally keeping up with the Kardashians as the family's nanny in the 1990s, says the marriage is on the rocks because unlike Kim, troubled Kanye “can’t handle” his billion-dollar success.
Pam, now a financial adviser in Aberdeen, SD, also says she believes 40-year-old Kim has had three failed marriages because her “beauty and intelligence” can “intimidate” men.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun she said she "admired" Kim for sticking with her six-year marriage for as long as she has and for “trying all she can” to make it work, especially for the sake of her and Kanye's four children.
The Sun has told how Kim decided to end her marriage after “momager” Kris Jenner told her “it’s over” and also that Kanye “wouldn’t take meds or help with the kids.”
Blond Pam lived with the Kardashians in Beverly Hills from 1991 to 1996 when she looked after the kids and also acted as Kris’ personal assistant.
She would help look after Kim, brother Robert and sisters Khloe and Kourtney, as well as cook family meals and get the kids to do their homework.
She said: “If I could speak to Kim now, I would say to her I want you to be happy, be strong.
“And at this point I think she is doing the right thing putting the marriage on the line.
“There will not be easy days ahead I am sure but she’s an overcomer.
“If she can get over this mountain, there’s going to be good things in the future for her.
“Kim is going to be fine, I know it.”
She added: “Money, power, fame, success, a lot of people can’t handle it.
“I would say Kanye is a prime example of that, it's why his behavior has torn the marriage apart.
“I mean, my gosh how much is the man worth? A billion dollars? That's pressure. Kim can handle it, she's worth the same. But Kanye has struggled.
“Nobody says ‘No’ to him, either.
“The time has come when Kim says no, 'No more of this.'”
She said Kim’s beauty has been a blessing and a curse in her romantic relationships and three marriages.
The reality star was wed to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004 then she famously split from basketball star Kris Humphries just 72 days after they wed in 2011 before marrying Kanye in 2014.
“Men are very visual, that’s a given,” Pam said.
“I think a lot of men want to be with Kim mainly for the outside package.
“Now Kim is absolutely beautiful inside and out but do men really care and get to know about the person on the inside.
"I think a lot of beautiful women have a hard time finding a good man because of their good looks.
“I’ve heard it said that beauty can be a blessing and a curse and that’s true with Kim.
“But one thing’s for sure, the family will be there to support her.
“On their reality show, you may see them argue but when they’re needed they’re there for each other, there’s no question of that.”
Pam said she had followed reports over the past few months about the turmoil inside Kim and Kanye’s relationship.
This week, it has been claimed they have been trying marriage counselling but divorce is said to be "on the table.
“There’s obviously been a lot of turbulence in their relationship,” Pam said.
“If Kanye is bi-polar as reports have said, that is a sickness, very unfortunate and very difficult to deal with.
“If he’s not taking his meds, then it’s a problem.
“But she has stuck by his side for a long time.
“Even through a lot of negativity when bad things were being said and done.
“I give her a lot of credit for that but at some point, enough is enough and Kim has reached that point and I really don’t blame her.”
She added: “I’m a Christian and I do my daily readings every morning and this morning I thought of her when I read Proverbs 4:23 and it says, ‘Above all else, guard your heart’ because from a person’s heart, it directs their life.
“Kim has got to be happy for herself and those kids.
“It’s just not good if the children are in an unhappy, unsettled environment and she’s right to put them first, ultimately.”
Remembering when she looked after Kim when the A-lister to be was aged ten to 15, she said: “Kim was always very beautiful and very sweet.
“I remember one birthday party when she was in her very early teens.
“Someone had a video camera pointed at her and she said, ‘I’m going to be a famous celebrity someday.’
"She was destined for greatness, she really was."
Looking to the future, she believes Kim has what it takes to run for office.
“I’ve read about Kim pursuing her legal work and being an attorney and that’s great.
“She’s got the mindset where if she does put her mind to it, there’s nothing she can’t do.
“Could she become the President in the future? Yes, she could.”
