On Friday, District Attorney Pete Weir filed 18 charges against Joseph Vaneck, 32, including multiple counts of sexual assault, kidnapping, second-degree assault and menacing.

According to the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office, a woman accused Vaneck of picking her up in Denver, driving her into the foothills west of the city and sexually assaulting her. Three more women reported to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office similar experiences after being picked up in Denver or Lakewood in August and September.
