It begins with a huge twister picking up dust from the ground connecting with a whirling cloud above.
Another clip shows how terrifyingly close the huge vortex was to civilisation.
Music teacher Mircea Surcel captured the incredible moment and another onlooker – Catalin Ionita – even live-streamed the tornado for its entire four-hour duration.
Eight people were injured after a bus was launched 32ft across a field and 10 houses were also completely destroyed.
Romania’s Baragan region was on a code orange alert on Tuesday as heavy rainfall and strong winds caused severe disruptions and power cuts.
Reports said that more than 400 homes were left without electricity later the same evening.
Accuweather senior meteorologist Eric Leister said: “[It] looks like a strong cold front triggered severe weather in southern Romania today, including that tornado.
“The same storm system produced a thunderstorm that brought strong winds to Bucharest earlier in the day.

It is the first time such a phenomenon has been seen in more than 17 years.
