Sick serial killer Ivan Milat, who brutally killed seven young backpackers as they travelled Australia in the early 90s, has died at the age of 74.

In his bloody rampage, Milat butchered three German, two British and two Australian backpackers after offering them a lift while they were hitchhiking.
The murders finally came to light over a 14-month frenzy between 1992 and 1993 when the victims’ corpses were found in a forest outside Sydney.
Police were able to indentify Brit victims Caroline Clarke, 21, and Joanne Walters, 22, by checking their dental records.
The other victims were also found by police and, in one case, two runners out orienteering in Belanglo State Forest south-west of Sydney.
Cops were able to track down Milat after Brit Paul Onions came forward.
