Theresa May ‘not on public’s side’ over Brexit – Sky Data Poll
The majority of Britons reject Theresa May’s assertion that she is “on their side” over Brexit, according to a Sky Data poll.
But when it comes to the current Brexit crisis, more people are likely to blame MPs rather than the prime minister.

When Mrs May addressed the nation from Downing Street on Wednesday evening, she insisted she was “on your [the public’s] side”, while blaming MPs for prolonging the Brexit impasse by failing to back her withdrawal agreement.
It appears the public is also frustrated with MPs, with just over a third (36%) thinking that MPs are more to blame for the uncertainty than Mrs May.
Just under a quarter – 24% – blame the prime minister more than MPs.
A third think both are equally at fault, while 7% blame neither, and 1% said they didn’t know.
Just over half of the public (51%) said the prime minister was not on their side on the issue of Brexit.
Just over one in three (35%) think she is on their side, while 14% were unsure.
Arriving in Brussels on Thursday for an EU summit, Mrs May did not rule out leaving the EU without a deal.
Sky News political correspondent Tom Rayner tweeted: “Theresa May dodges question on no deal, but doesn’t rule it out: ‘I’m still hoping parliament can agree a deal… what matters is that we recognise that Brexit is the decision of the British people.'”
Downing Street said the prime minister was working “incredibly hard” to win support for her deal amid an “incredibly challenging process”.
A spokesperson added: “The prime minister has been working tirelessly to deliver what people voted for.
“It is not without its extraordinarily difficult challenges.”
