1 dead in Thornton rollover crash – The Denver Post
One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash Sunday night in Thornton.
The fatal rollover occurred in the 11500 block of York Street, according to a tweet posted on the Thornton Police Department’s official Twitter account just after 11 p.m.
York Street was closed in Thornton from 112th to 118th avenues Monday morning.
Thornton police are investigating the incident. It is not known if speed or alcohol were contributing factors to the crash.
The identity of the person who died was not immediately released.

Pedestrian hit by vehicle on Colorado 85 in Commerce City dies at the scene.
A pedestrian died early Monday morning in Commerce City when she was hit by a vehicle on Colorado 85, police said.
The incident happened at about 3:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway just south of East 120th Avenue, said Deputy Chief Dennis Moon, a police spokesman.
The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with investigators, Moon said.
Police do not know why the woman was walking on the highway. An investigation is ongoing. It is the first fatal automobile incident in Commerce City in 2021.
Northbound lanes of the highway reopened at about 8:45 a.m., police said.
Zookeeper in ‘serious condition’ after being bitten in the face by camel
A 54-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being bitten in the face by a camel.
The employee of the Perleberg Zoo, in northern Germany between Berlin and Hamburg, was cleaning the camel enclosure and feeding the animals when one turned suddenly and bit him, police said.
They described his injuries as “serious” and said the man, whose name was not released, was being treated in a local hospital.
The zoo is closed at the moment under German coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

The Twitter account of Mayor Parker The Snow Dog, Georgetown’s “Honorary Mayor,” posted video clips of the big cats on Monday afternoon.
The home surveillance video clips were taken at two different residences, according to the Twitter post. Georgetown, the county seat of Clear Creek County, has about 1,100 residents and sits at an elevation of 8,530 feet.
Parker, a 4-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, is a mascot for the nearby Loveland Ski Area.
Magnitude 6.8 quake strikes San Juan Province, Argentina: GFZ
(Reuters) – An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 struck San Juan Province, Argentina, late on Monday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said. The shallow quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), GFZ said.
The U.S. Tsunami Warning System said no tsunami warning has been issued for the earthquake.
Multi-car crash blocking lanes on Auckland’s Southwestern Motorway
A multi-car crash is blocking southbound lanes on Auckland’s Southwestern Motorway.
The crash happened just after 5pm near the Hastie Ave footbridge. Emergency services are responding and motorists are asked to slow down through the area and expect delays.
Earlier, a crash blocked the right northbound lane on the Southwestern just prior to the Coronation Rd off-ramp about 3.40pm, causing significant delays for motorists.

A fatal one-car crash on 86th Parkway in Arvada has shut down the road going east.
The Arvada Police Department reported the incident around 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
The incident took place east of Yank Court.
No information on the deceased has been released.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash, but say there is no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor.
