Today in toxic masculinity, trolls are trying to sabotage Captain Marvel by trashing its Rotten Tomatoes page with, well, rotten reviews — before even seeing it. Yup.

Marvel’s first woman-led superhero movie isn’t out until next month, but trolls have made it their mission to bombard the page with sexist comments, which adversely impact its rating. The reviews are mostly misspelled and constructed poorly, but in bad taste nonetheless.

“as a white male i dont think Brie would want me watching this movie,” wrote Nigel B.

“Brie Larsen did a lot of political statement, so my political statement wil be not to see this movie. Hope she will not be in Infinity War 2,” said someone named Ondrej.

“brie larson has already said this isnt for me.i’ll spend my money elsewhere,” wrote Kevin H.

Someone named Justin M also threw in his unsolicited opinion: “Not interested in supporting Brie Larson’s agenda.” 

Not to mention the film is primed to bag $100 million during its opening weekend. So take that, haters!

Captain Marvel flies to the cinemas on March 8, 2019.
