Alexis Ohanian says it’s easy to be a ‘proud father’ of Olympia
Alexis Ohanian can’t contain his feelings about fatherhood.
“It’s easy to be a proud father of that little baby,” the Reddit founder said of his 17-month-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. on the “Third Hour of Today” Tuesday.
“It’s been life changing and it’s something that I never knew I wanted it badly until I had it,” the 35-year-old added. “And then it just changed everything.”
Ohanian and wife Serena Williams welcomed baby Olympia back in September 2017. The father-daughter duo has gained a following for their enthusiastic courtside cheers for Williams.
The entrepreneur was on the morning program to promote his campaign with Dove Men+Care which will give $5,000 grants to fathers who want to take paternity leave. Ohanian said he took a total of 16 weeks off of work when Olympia was born.
Before exiting, Ohanian also gushed about his daughter’s now famous doll, Qai Qai. “She’s taken on a life of her own,” he quipped of the doll’s sudden fame. “It was a doll she would leave around the house. I lost control of the account so this is pure Qai Qai now.”
Qai Qai, who was named by William’s nephew, now has more than 113,000 followers on Instagram.
