Zara Tindall takes after Anne with ‘dominant’ role in relationship with Mike
A body language expert has pointed out that Zara Tindall appears “very much like her mum”, particularly in her relationship with husband Mike Tindall.
The 42-year-old has maintained a strong bond with her mother throughout her life, and has seemingly taken on the same “inner-confidence” portrayed by Princess Anne.
Zara married former rugby professional Mike Tindall in 2011, eight years after first meeting in 2003.
According to body language expert Darren Stanton, Zara is the “more dominant personality” in her marriage – just like her mum was in her first marriage to Zara’s father.
Princess Anne, who celebrates her 73rd birthday on August 15, was married to Captain Mark Phillips for almost two decades and welcomed two children in that time – including Zara.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Mr Stanton said: “Now that [Anne] is one of the most senior members of the Royal Family, I think she has developed an inner-confidence and feels so much more in her own skin. This is very much reflected in Zara Tindall, who is very much like her mum.
“Not just in terms of physicality, but also in terms of personality.”
He added: “Zara and her husband Mike Tindall compliment each other very well, but I think Zara is definitely the more dominant personality in her relationship with Mike – similar to the time where Princess Anne was with Captain Mark Phillips.”
Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips separated in 1989, before officially divorcing in 1992.

Speaking of Anne, Mr Stanton said: “Anne has a very dominant personality, and we have seen it develop in the last few years where she has been herself more, grown confident in her own skin and has relaxed one or two of these royal protocols.
“Generally, what you see is what you get. She doesn’t suffer fools gladly, she has always had those character traits of being brutally honest, but I think in later years, that confidence has grown even more.”
Speaking previously to Express.co.uk, body language expert Judi James said that Anne’s “gift of freedom” to Zara is the reason behind their “tactile” bond.
She said: “When we see them at family gatherings though, a surprising side of Anne emerges as she fulfils the role of granny and mother rather than Princess.

“Normally serious and rather imposing she will show her tactile, fun side and the older she gets the more we see Zara, Mike and their children as well as Peter and his girls bring that side out.”
Unlike many of the modern-day royals who got married in either London or Windsor, Mike and Zara got married in Scotland in July 2011.
The couple, who celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary last month, are now proud parents to three children – nine-year-old Mia, five-year-old Lena and two-year-old Lucas.
