‘You having a laugh?!’ Farage in brutal row as caller accuses him of being a Remainer
Tez, 75, called the Brexit Party leader on his LBC programme and accused him of being untruthful about his quest to take the UK out of the Brussels bloc. He told Nigel Farage: “Your party could make a real difference. But I don’t believe you really want to see us come out.” Astonished, the Brexit Party leader said: “What? You’re having a laugh, aren’t you? What do I have to do?”
Tez explained Nigel Farage kept “switching positions” and accused the leading Brexiteer of being “another pundit who can’t be relied upon”.
Mr Farage replied: “I was with from its first day, 26 years of my life, with Ukip.”
But Tez insisted: “I started campaigning against the EU before you did. I got arrested on the first referendum.”
He continued: “I have more experience than you, that’s true. I have more history than you and I know when people are conning us – and we’re constantly being conned by you so-called pundits and leaders.”
Exasperated, Nigel Farage interrupted the caller and said: “Now listen, I spent 26 years in Ukip.
“I was chairman of it, national campaign manager, head cook, bottle washer and leader for 11 years and I packed it up because the party went rotten.”
He added: “I want us to have a clean break Brexit.
“I think we should decide on our borders, we should decide on our legislation and I’ve always fought for that and I’ve always believed in that.
“My biggest worry with all of this right now is that Boris will, at some point, get through this new EU treaty which will leave us in some ways in a worse position than where we are.”
Tez responded: “I agree, we need a much cleaner break.
“We’re not going to get it through Boris Johnson, we’re not going to get it through the establishment and we’re not going to get it through the media and pundits like you.”
The clash came as MPs prepare to vote on a motion that will be tabled today by the Prime Minister to have a general election on December 12.

The Commons is also expected to vote on a proposal that will be tabled by the Liberal Democrats and the SNP in favour of an election on December 9.
The plan also proposes to amend the Fixed-Term Parliament Act and allow a general election to be called by a numerical majority in the Commons.
The Remainers’ proposal will be conditional upon the European Union granting a Brexit extension until January 31.
Both Tory and Labour MPs have already dismissed the plan as a political “stunt” aimed at preventing Boris Johnson’s deal to be debated in Parliament before a general election.
