Dr Nabbaro said: “As I have told you before on this programme, people will work out how to live with the virus and they will make the changes to their lives.
“Having a Government set rules and decide what you can and cannot do can’t last forever.
“People will get fed up and it is having people saying they will take the virus seriously voluntarily that seems to be important.”
Ms Julia Hartley-Brewer replied: “The vast majority of people are being very sensible and have obeyed the rules.”

Dr Nabbaro added: “The virus is not going away, we are going to have to live with it for the foreseeable future so we have to find ways to get on with our lives while holding the virus back.
“It is like being on a constant state of defence.”
Earlier this morning, Richard Tice warned Boris Johnson and the UK Government have gone a “step too far” following the reintroduction of strict social distancing rules.
The former Chairman of the Brexit Party told talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer that the Government has lost the confidence of the people due to misjudgment and misreading of data.
Ms Hartley-Brewer said: “I feel some of this is a step too far for me living in a free democracy.”
Mr Tice replied: “You are absolutely right and the truth is the Government has lost the confidence of the people because of its continuing incompetence on so many issues.
“I think the majority of people recognise that the Government has completely misinterpreted what is going on.
“The majority of people including myself now feel that we can work out what represents a risk to other and will apply our own judgement.

“That is what you do in a free and democratic society.
“I think we are in a very difficult place and the Government has completely misjudged and misread the data.
“It is not good and the implications for businesses and jobs are truly appalling.”
Ms Hartley-Brewer added: “When we do start seeing those massive job losses that we are going to see at the end of that furlough scheme I think a lot of people are going to feel very different.
“I think we are heading into what is going to be a very difficult winter.”
