There are currently nine vacancies on the Royal Household website, including an exciting opening for Assistant Correspondence Officer.
A lucky candidate could be spending their working days drafting written letters on behalf of the 95-year-old monarch.
The job is based at Buckingham Palace.
The successful applicant will be part of the team responsible for ensuring that all of the public’s well wishes, and often unique enquiries to the Queen receive a timely and well-composed response.
The job is also listed on Linkedln with the following description:
“It’s working in a team with a shared and unique purpose, engaging with the public whilst supporting The Queen’s role. This is what makes working for The Royal Household so exceptional.
“Thousands of letters addressed to the Royal Household are received each year. Working as part of the Correspondence Unit, your challenge will be to ensure that each and everyone receives a timely and well-composed response.
“Every day, you will respond to letters sent by the public in answer to various and often unique queries as well as general messages of good wishes.”
The job ad has also added: “Recording and monitoring all correspondence, you’ll be proud of the number of letters you respond to, which will drive you to deliver consistently high standards. In this way, you will help to support the important work of The Royal Household.”

On the Royal.uk website, it is stated: “In order to apply for a vacancy, you will either be a British citizen, or you will have already obtained the legal right to work in the UK.
“Everyone who works for the Royal Household is security cleared. If successful, you will therefore go through our security vetting process.”
Further, it is stated that “all applications should be made directly to the Royal Household.
“We do not make any financial charge at any stage of our recruitment process. What’s more, we do not endorse or associate with any organisation, or third party, that claims to be involved with our recruitment and which may attempt to seek payment from you.”
