A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in south-east London.

The 19-year-old suspect was detained in Lambeth on Sunday evening and remains in custody.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Tellson Avenue in Kidbrooke at 2:40pm on Wednesday.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found the victim with knife wounds.

Police said it is believed the attack happened in an alleyway.

The victim was taken to a south London hospital but was pronounced dead at around 8:35pm.
