Woman found dead with 'self-inflicted' knife injuries in London park
A woman has died in a London park after suffering ‘self-inflicted’ stab wounds.
Witnesses saw the woman suffering knife injuries in Westbourne Park, near Paddington, shortly before 7.20am this morning.
Paramedics raced to the scene on Bourne Terrace but the woman was declared dead on arrival.
Detectives believe the woman’s injuries were self-inflicted and her death is not being treated as suspicious.
A cordon was set up in the park while experts carried out a forensic examination.
Police are trying to track down the woman’s next of kin to inform them of the news.
One man wrote on Twitter: ‘Very sad to see Westbourne Green today. If you’re feeling bad, please know that you can get help.’
Anyone with information can phone 101.
