Woman appears to ‘give baby vodka shot’

Shocking footage appears to show a woman give a baby a shot of vodka.

The child is seen spluttering and coughing after drinking the colourless liquid. The woman is seen laughing in the clip, which police are now investigating. 

The clip has been shared widely online, with many social media users concerned for the baby’s welfare.

But police have confirmed social services have since safeguarded the tot.

The force did not, however, reveal the relationship between the woman and the child.

The appalling video was originally shared on a TikTok page but it has since been removed, reports North Wales Live.

Police stated they have no further concerns for the baby despite the thousands of furious comments left on Facebook.

One woman stated: “Absolutely vile human, why would you do this?”

Another shared: “Why would people be so cruel to child?”

A third posted on Facebook: “That is beyond cruel! Glad the baby has been ‘safeguarded’.”

Another comment reads: “Disgusting how anyone could do that to a child? Some people don’t deserve kids.”

In a post on social media, North Wales Constabulary said: “We are aware of a video circulating on social media that appears to involve a small child being administered alcohol by an adult.

“Please be assured that we are currently working alongside Social Services and have safeguarded the child.

“We continue to investigate the matter and have no further concerns for the child.

“We would like to thank members of the public for reporting their concerns to us and for your support in this investigation.”
