Woman and one-year-old baby found dead in house after ‘concerns for welfare’ raised
Cumbria Constabulary said it was called to an address in Whitehaven at 2.52pm on December 30 to concerns for the welfare of a woman. Upon arrival, officers made the grim discovery of the bodies of a one-year-old child and a woman in her twenties. A spokesman for the force said police were not treating the deaths as suspicious.
The coroner has been contacted in relation to the deaths, reports say.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Constabulary said: “Police attended an address in Wellington Row, Whitehaven, after being made aware at 2.52pm on December 30 of a concern for the welfare of a woman.
