Wills and Kate ‘resigned’ to staying in ‘cramped’ Windsor home
Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, are reportedly “resigned” to staying at Windsor.
A source has suggested the couple will stay at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate despite rumoured plans that King Charles III was planning to move them into the Royal Lodge.
They have claimed the senior royals and their three young children’s reported plans are on hold after the home’s current occupant, Prince Andrew, received the money needed for repairs.
Speaking to OK!, the source said the Prince is adamant he can “see out the end of his lease” at the grand home.
They said: “The Palace originally wanted Andrew out of Royal Lodge so that the property could be renovated and prepared for new lodgers.
“The Prince and Princess of Wales desperately want a larger property for their family in the Windsor area and discussions were originally focused on putting them in there.
“However, Andrew was having none of it and is adamant that he will see out the end of his lease at Royal Lodge.”
