The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be preparing to send Prince George and Princess Charlotte back to school in the coming days. After a fun-filled summer, kids up and down the country will also be returning to their schooling. George and Charlotte will head into years four and two respectively, at the private Thomas’ prep school in Battersea, south-west London.
Three-year-old Prince Louis, meanwhile, will start his second year of nursery school at the Willcocks Nursery, a short walk from Kensington Palace home.
They also have a second home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
Despite her royal title, Kate is renowned for her down-to-earth approach.
Kate was born into an upper-middle class family and grew up in the Berkshire village of Bucklebury.
The documentary, ‘Kate Middleton: Working Class to Windsor’, looked into her journey.
Royal expert Camilla Tominey told the documentary Kate was “brought up in such a loving and stable family.
“The kind of family, let’s face it, that William and Harry never really had.”
Ms Tominey said this is hugely grounding for William.
She continued: “Her middle-classness, and her lack of aristocratic airs and graces, and the fact she isn’t royalty, is no bad thing because it dilutes the Royal Family a little bit.
“It reminds this man who has been brought up with nothing else but royal life, what real life is like.”
Despite being the future King, William has always remained keen to stay down to earth.
Ms Tominey added Kate’s temperament has been key to the success of their marriage.

She said: “Kate has been very careful not to upstage her husband.
“I think that she’s the yin to his yang in that he, although a levelheaded, down the line kind of guy, can be prone to a few temper tantrums, and perhaps likes to dig his heels in, and sometimes get quite angry.
“One gets the impression that Kate’s the one pulling him back and reining him in, saying ‘alright, let’s just keep calm’.”
William and Kate have established a blossoming relationship with the British public, earning huge praise for their parenting style too.
They both attended England’s Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy earlier this summer, as well as the last-16 match against Germany.
While George’s amazing celebrations stole the show, Kate and William were praised for being there despite the ongoing pandemic.
Dating and relationship expert Sami Wunder told Express.co.uk: “It makes them much more reachable and far less exclusive.”
Both parents were praised for kneeling down to young George’s level, something that would have been “unheard of” for royal parents in the past, according to Mohammed Patel, managing director of Kiddies Kingdom.
Far from distancing themselves from other kids and parents at their children’s school, Kate encourages George and Charlotte to bring friends over, and has also been known to join parents for drinks at the pub.
A royal insider told OK! Magazine: “As parents [Kate and William] are also very good at rolling up their sleeves and helping out with school events; sports days; fundraisers and that sort of thing.
“They try to be just like normal parents with normal parenting challenges.”
