The two Princes grew up as part of the royal household and according to royal expert Valentine Low, the brother’s wanted to make their advisors feel comfortable and would hold “informal” evenings with them. Despite this, Prince William and Prince Harry wanted their advisors to not follow protocol during the “informal” meetings but “just gave up” after the workers failed to listen to their request.

“In the very early days, it came when they were young adults, [Harry] had a tiny team around him [and] William had a very, very small team.

“It was very informal, they’d sort of share pizzas with their advisors, but the advisors would always get up when they came in the room.

“William and Harry would always say ‘no no please don’t get up’, and the next time they’d come in the room, they’d all get up [again].”

He added: “[The advisors] believed that they should, this is how you should be treated as a member of the Royal Family.

“Eventually, after a while, William and Harry just gave up saying ‘please don’t get up’, they lost that battle.”

In the past few years, Harry and William have suffered major tension in their relationship.

The brother’s relationship began to majorly suffer when William reportedly thought Harry’s relationship with Meghan was escalating too quick.

Tensions heightened even more when Harry made the decision to step down as a senior royal, alongside Meghan.

Queen: Prince William and Harry stand side-by-side

Despite their recent tensions, William and his younger brother were once very close.

During an interview with The Sun, royal author Angela Levin spoke about how Harry once told her that William “was the only person he could trust”.

Speaking previously on 60 Minutes Australia, royal author Tina Brown described William and Harry’s relationship as “tense”.

She noted that there was “very little communication” between the brothers.
