Why Meghan was ‘told off’ by Harry at Trooping The Colour – ‘She would have done the same’
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s apparent tense exchange was shared on social media this week with fans speculating whether the Duke of Sussex “told off” the Duchess. Speaking on Sunrise, Basil Zempilas questioned whether the Duchess had received a “dressing down” from Prince Harry, adding she seemed to make a “rookie mistake”. Radio host, Chris Smith, suggested one reason to why Prince Harry appeared to glare at the Duchess of Sussex.
He said: “At the end of the day, it is not a dressing down, they are scrutinised to the nth degree, unfairly, repeatedly.
“Meghan would have done the same thing in reverse.
“If you look at the timing, she started to speak the second time as the national anthem just started to play.
“She didn’t time that. He naturally said ‘you better go to the front’.

TV host Zempilas interrupted saying: “You guys are kidding yourselves, look at his face, he is unhappy.”
Mr Smith quickly replied: “She was mildly entertained by this too, she pursed her lips, as if to say ‘oh I’ve been dressed down’”.
Royal fans were quick to comment on the interaction between Prince Harry and Meghan as they stood on the balcony for the Trooping The Colour celebrations.
Meghan turns around to Prince Harry on the balcony, before he appears to deliver a sharp response.
The MailOnline’s lip-reader confirmed the Duke appeared to be answering a question, as he said: “Yes, that’s right.”
Meghan begins to return to her front-on pose, before turning back again, at which point Harry tells her: “Turn around,” the expert said.
As she continues to look at her husband, Harry adds: “Look,” before the national anthem begins playing.

Twitter users reacted to the footage, with one posting: “Meghan was so ready to go back to Archie, but Harry was like nope, not yet.
“And I love how everyone’s face suddenly got serious when the anthem started.”
Another said: “Oh this is very clear.”
The interaction took place last weekend as the Duchess of Sussex took time off from maternity leave to attend the Trooping The Colour celebrations.
It was the first time Meghan has been publicly seen since she presented her and Prince Harry’s newborn son, Archie Harrison, to the world earlier last month.
Meghan gave birth on May 6 to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, with Prince Harry returning to work just four days after the birth of their son.
Meghan was reportedly planning to take around three months off for her maternity leave before she gave birth, and is now expected to return to full duties in the autumn.
The Trooping the Colour event last weekend marked the Queen’s official birthday.
During the Trooping The Colour celebrations, the Queen was paraded down the Mall to Buckingham Palace before watching the Red Arrows fly overhead. She was escorted by members of the Household Cavalry.
