WhatsApp is down in Britain with more than 100,000 outages with sending messages the most reported problem, according to monitoring website Downdetector.

Message failure makes up 62 percent of the most reported problems with the app itself accounting for 23 percent and receiving messages 15 percent, Downdetector shows.

The cause of the outage isn’t known and WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta, has not acknowledged the problem.

Issue reports for the US have surpassed 24,000 with issues including the sending of messages, problems with the app and the website not working.
