Wembley fire: 10 engines sent as London fire brigade fights flames in Lyon Park Avenue

The London Fire Brigade has announced around 70 firefighters and 10 fire engines were called in Wembley to secure the perimeter.

The brigade reports that a fire in Lyon Park Avenue is ongoing.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade told Express.co.uk that the roof of a block of maisonettes in Lyon Park Avenue was on fire.

A neighbouring car workshop is also alight hence why more than 50 firefighters are at the scene.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but the brigade said they were called at 01.57am.

Fire crews from Wembley, Park Royal, Acton, Northolt and surrounding stations are at the scene.

As of 3:54am the service could not share any details about possible casualties.
